I think you could find many examples of things getting better in blue states--it's just that this article was focusing on the opposite trend to highlight it.
I think you should change the preview image for this article to be blue tape plastered over something to do with housing (maybe just a house would be fine, but could also be a map of housing shortage by county, or like a building approval form or something).
That way when someone shares this post on social media it will be more clear that it's not literally about "Blue Tape" which is how it looks now on e.g. twitter where the image is a roll of blue tape and the title just says "call it blue tape".
